Standards Library R&D Support

Comprehensive support program designed to enhance your materials library and streamline vendor relationships.

Updated today

Purpose of the Support Program

Our support team takes the time to review your standards library on a regular basis to ensure we are able to help you find alternatives for existing standards, fill in gaps for products you currently have weaker standards for, and generally to keep you in the loop for any new design and product innovations we are seeing in the Market.

How Our Support Team Provides Recommendations

Acelab's team delivers support at 3 critical moments in your Materials Hub development:

  1. Initial Implementation

When we first build up your firm library, our team runs through and finds opportunities for "product recommendations" based on our deep knowledge gained during the audit of your historic selections. We provide these within the library, tagged as "Acelab Product Recommendations" and send you a summary describing the vendors and reasons why we think they would be a good fit.

  2. Library UpKeep

Our Support team also reviews your Library on a quarterly basis to see if we are noticing any opportunities for education or growth for products that may be a good fit. Your team is also welcome to ask us questions about any new research you are conducting (i.e. we are looking for Low-Carbon Concrete Options for future Projects).

  3. Request Project Recommendations

You can always request support from Acelab's Team on Active Projects if you'd like as well. You're welcome to bring this up during office hours or use the add product > request recommendation button from within schedules.

Next Steps with Vendors

Initial Vendor Connections

Once you receive your library with the initial recommendations, we will open up conversations on Acelab with 6 of the best fit vendors to run through a "qualification" round. These conversations are there when you need quick answers to make smart material decisions. You can engage when it makes the most sense for your workflow.

Recommended Actions

Schedule Technical Workshop: 30min session - most effective for products within the wall assembly

Order Sample: Qualify the finish look - most effective for interior or exterior finish products

Establish Local Rep: Most effective for products that are good fits immediately

πŸ‘‰ The goal here is to help save your team time and get you in touch with high-fit vendors that are more likely to meet your project needs quickly and efficiently.
