Editing, Copying, and Deleting Projects

Learn how to update project details, duplicate an existing project as a starting point, or remove a project you no longer need.

Updated this week

Before You Begin

  • You must have Admin, Creator, or Editor permissions to edit or copy a project.

  • Only an Admin can delete a project.

Editing a Project

To update any project details after creation, navigate to the Project Info Page for that project.

  1. In the Project Information Page, click on the Edit Info CTA. This will update page to show editable fields instead of read-only fields.

  2. Notice that the Edit Info CTA has now changed to Save Changes. This will remain in a disabled state until one change to a field has been made.

  3. Use the tabs to jump to various sections and begin by changing the information. When you've made at least one change, the Save Changes CTA will be enabled. Click Save Changes to preserve the changes, and the page will update to a read-only state.

Copying a Project

Copying a project creates a new duplicate you can use as a starting point. This is especially useful once your specifications and schedules are set up, so you don't have to rebuild them from scratch.

  1. Go to the Projects Page.

  2. Hover over the project you want to copy and click the three dots icon.

  3. Select Copy Project

  4. In the Copy modal, you can rename the project, or keep the original project's name with an amended (copy). Choose whether to copy the project's products over to the new project.

  5. Once completed, you will see the newly copied project in your Projects page.

Note: The Team tab is not copied. You will need to invite collaborators to the new project separately.

Deleting a Project

  1. Go to the Projects Page.

  2. Hover over the project you want to remove and click the three dots icon.

  3. Select Delete.

⚠️ This action cannot be undone. Deleting a project permanently removes it and all associated data.

Outcome

  • Copied projects appear on your Projects Page immediately, ready to be renamed and built out.

  • Deleted projects are removed from your Projects Page and are no longer accessible to you or your collaborators.
